Street food in Napoli

Roman street food is mostly fried things and bread, eaten standing up. The supplì, a rice croquette with stringy mozzarella inside, plain and tomato pizza by the slice, fried salt-cod fillets and, in the markets, the porchetta sandwich are the classics. The Trapizzino, born in Testaccio, added a triangle of pizza bianca filled with traditional Roman stews. At Supplizio, on Via dei Banchi Vecchi, the supplì is the star; at the Antico Forno Roscioli you buy pizza by the slice. Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
