Beaches in Napoli

Rome's seaside is at Ostia, about half an hour by train from Porta San Paolo station, next to the Pyramid. The Ostia seafront is mostly beach clubs with paid umbrellas and loungers; the wider free beaches are further south, towards Castel Fusano and Capocotta, among dunes and pine woods. The same train line stops at Ostia Antica, ancient Rome's harbour town, so you can combine the ruins and the beach in one day. The beaches on this page come from imported data and are not a curated list yet.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
