Beaches in Milano

Milan has no sea, and this page should not be taken literally. The entries come from imported data, and many are lidos, pools and venues that use the word beach in their name, so check before you go. In summer the Milanese head for the Idroscalo, the artificial basin near Linate they call the sea of Milan, outside the comune. Otherwise they go to the lakes, such as Como and Garda, reachable by train in a day, or to Liguria. In the city, for somewhere by the water, the Darsena and the Naviglio Grande are the best choice.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
