Museums in Milano

Milan's museums are among the best reasons to stay an extra day. The Pinacoteca di Brera holds Mantegna, Raphael and Caravaggio; Leonardo's Cenacolo Vinciano needs booking well in advance. The Museo del Novecento, on Piazza Duomo, has Pellizza's Fourth Estate. The house museums, such as the Museo Poldi Pezzoli and the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, are small and lovely. With children, try the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia. For contemporary art there is the Fondazione Prada, out of the centre, reached by metro.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
