In recent years artisan gelato shops have multiplied in Milan, with carefully chosen ingredients and flavours that change with the seasons. Gelato Giusto, around Porta Venezia, is one of the best-known addresses. To spot a good shop, look at the colours: real pistachio is dark green, not bright, and banana is greyish, not yellow.
