Art galleries in Milano

The art galleries on this page are mostly private and commercial spaces from imported data. Hours and shows change often, so check their own site before you go. The great collections lie elsewhere: the Pinacoteca di Brera for the old masters, the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana for Leonardo and Caravaggio, the Galleria d'Arte Moderna for the 19th century. For contemporary art, Pirelli HangarBicocca and the Fondazione Prada are the two key addresses, both reachable by public transport. Private galleries cluster mainly between Brera and Lambrate.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
