Churches in Milano

Milan's churches run from the Gothic Duomo to Bramante's Renaissance, and the inside often surprises more than the façade. The Duomo di Milano is the place to start. The Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio is Romanesque and holds the patron saint's remains; Santa Maria delle Grazie has Bramante's tribune and the Last Supper next door. San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore is covered in frescoes, and Santa Maria presso San Satiro has a false choir painted in perspective. San Bernardino alle Ossa has a chapel decorated with bones. Cover shoulders and knees to go in.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
