Cafés and bakeries in Roma

In Rome coffee is drunk standing at the counter, in a few seconds, and it costs less than sitting at a table. The Roman breakfast is cappuccino and cornetto, or a maritozzo, a bun split and filled with whipped cream: one of the best known is at Pasticceria Regoli, in Esquilino. Beside the Pantheon, the Tazza d'Oro roastery is also famous for its coffee granita with cream. The Antico Caffè Greco, on Via dei Condotti, has been open since 1760 and was frequented by Goethe and Keats. The other cafés on this page come from imported data and are not a curated list.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
