Gelato shops in Palermo

In Palermo gelato often comes stuffed inside a brioche bun, for breakfast as much as an afternoon treat, and in summer granita is the Sicilian alternative. Look for the island's flavours: pistachio, almond, ricotta, mulberry, cassata. In the centre, Cappadonia Gelati is on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, between the Cathedral and the Quattro Canti, making artisan gelato in Sicilian flavours. North of the old town is Gelateria Stancampiano. The list below comes partly from imported data and also includes cafés, pastry shops and chains, not all of which make their own. Many of the historic pastry shops serve granita and gelato too, so they are worth a look as well.

Cappadonia is on the Cassaro, on the way between the main churches, so the planner can fit it into your walk.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
