Shopping in Catania

Shopping in Catania mostly happens along one street, Via Etnea. It climbs straight from Piazza Duomo for nearly three kilometres, with chain stores and small shops. Corso Italia is the more elegant stretch, in the north of the city. For local products, look for almond paste, Bronte pistachio and Etna wine in the shops of the centre, and for bargains there is the Fera 'o Luni. For now this category is mostly imported, unreviewed shops: use it to get your bearings, not as a guide.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
