Markets in Catania

Catania has two historic markets, and both are best seen in the morning. La Pescheria, below Piazza Duomo, is the liveliest show in the city, with swordfish on the stalls, stallholders calling out and trattorias all around. The Fera 'o Luni, on Piazza Carlo Alberto, is the great market of fruit, clothes and cheese, very Catanese and not very touristy. Both stop on Sundays. The other markets on this page come from imported data and are often flea markets: days and hours change, so check before you go.

The centre is easy to cover on foot; the planner puts the stops in order around the time you have.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
