Art galleries in Catania

The art galleries on this page are mostly small private spaces from imported data. Hours and shows change often, so check their own site before you go. The city's historic collections, by contrast, lie elsewhere: the Castello Ursino houses the Civic Museum's art collection, and the Monastero dei Benedettini has spaces that host exhibitions. The old centre around Via Crociferi and the area of Piazza Università are the places to look for galleries and art workshops, between one stop on the walk and the next.
