Cafés and bakeries in Catania

In Catania breakfast is granita with a brioche col tuppo, even in winter: almond, coffee or mulberry in the right months. On Via Etnea, opposite Villa Bellini, are two historic addresses: Pasticceria Savia, for arancini and cannoli, and Pasticceria Spinella, for minne di Sant'Agata, the patron saint's pastries. The kiosks are also typical of the city, such as the Chiosco Giammona, for seltz with lemon and salt. The other cafés on this page come from imported data and are not a curated list.

One of these stops breaks up a walk nicely; add it to your route with the planner.

Your browser will ask to share your location

It's only used to work out how many minutes' walk you are from each place open right now.

  • We only use it to work out distances, and we don't keep it. If you share a walk, its starting point in the link is rounded to about 100 metres.
  • No account, no history, no notifications.
  • Rather not? Pick the city yourself: it works just as well.
